Meet the sitter
Hi! I’m Jonathan, an 18-year-old lifelong DC resident with a love for dogs. I have just graduated from high school and have a passion for writing and traveling. I believe that all dogs deserve love, attention and care. And I’m here to give that to your dog while you are away.
I specialize in dogs with separation anxiety and those who need extra help. I fully understand that a dog with separation anxiety cannot be left alone. Therefore, if your dog has separation anxiety, they will not be left alone, not even for a minute. During this time we will go on walks, play games, and provide your dog with valuable socialization time.
I am well equipped to look after dogs with other special needs as well, such as senior dogs (who need extra gentle handling) or dogs who are afraid of noise and thunderstorms (I will escort them gently to their safe space, block as much sound as possible and be present and aware.). This, especially, hits close to home, as my dog Flike used to be fearful, so this takes precedence.
In addition to working with my own dog, I have spent time volunteering at the Humane Rescue Alliance and have assisted a local dog trainer during training sessions. Currently, I am volunteering with Lucky Dog Animal Rescue where I assist with adoption events. When I’m not in school or looking after dogs, I like going to different restaurants and walking around town.
